NAVY BLUE

A couple of posts earlier I talked to you about my favorite colors... Now I'm gonna tell you which is the color I don't like the most: navy blue!

I dislike that color because it is very dark, almost like black, but not black... I also thought that it is a color to be worn by "serious people"... if you know what I mean...

Well, all of the above thoughts were valid until now...

In the pictures below I realised that you can even wear total navy and have a really chic result...

(3.1 Phillip Lim / Calvin Klein / Celine)

(Chloe / Dries Van Noten / Hermes)

(Jil Sander / Lanvin / Marc Jacobs)

(Marni / Maison Martin Margiela / Peter Som)

(Stella McCartney / Thakoon / The Row)

And don't forget that navy goes really well with white, grey and red... Trully unexpectedly, it makes a really nice mix with black (!!!)...

I started reconsidering everything about the specific color and I've already started searching for a pair of pants and sweater, as I already have a navy blue coat.

LOUIS VUITTON: VIVIENNE LV

I've been searching for a small black bag for quite a long time...

My number 1 choice would be Celine classic box bag but Louis Vuitton's "Vivienne LV" isn't bad either... What do you think?

BLUE JEANS

(Me wearing Balmain jeans, Jimmy Choo white pumps, Kenneth Jay Lane necklace worn as bracelet)

I remember when I was in high school you had to, among other things, wear the super trendy pair of jeans that could make you acceptable to popular students. Those jeans that period were Levis 501. Everybody should have to own at least one of them in their closet.

Mine was a pair of faded black ones and I was taking them off only when I wanted to go for a bath…

Years passed by (I think Levis were on top of all brands for many years) and I can also recall wearing brands such as Replay, Diesel and many more…

The last few years I’ve concluded that my favorite jeans are JBrand for their slim fit and Current/Elliot for their boyfriend fit (although in the picture above I am experimenting with a pair of ripped Balmain).

If you ask me what is the most important piece that anyone should have in their wardrobe I think my answer would be a pair of good quality blue jeans. I think I don't need to start counting with how many ways you can wear them and no need to say also that it's a piece you can wear from day to night!

Do you have a favorite piece in your closet?

BLACK + MILITARY GREEN

Black and military green have always been 2 of my favorite colors.

To be honest I somehow avoided to combine them, because I thought that I would come up with a rather dull result...

But as they say you can never be sure about something unless you give it a try!

(Me wearing Celine military jacket, Massimo Dutti quilted leather skirt and Givenchy suede pumps)

How can you succeed in perfectly mixing these colors?

Wear everything black, except one single piece that has to be green (that could be a jacket, shirt or boots) and done. So simple!

On the other hand, as you might have already been informed, Phoebe cleverly suggests that for next fall season we try mixing military green with ivory... just for a change!

MARIA BLACK EARRINGS

While checking at NAP's new arrivals today I completely fell in love with a new designer's pieces. And to be more specific, what I loved the most was the earrings of her collection.

Her name is Maria Black and you can find her beautiful jewelry here.
